The explosion, believed to be gas-related, severely damaged the Silver Lake Healthcare Center on the outskirts of Philadelphia, the state's most populous city.
At least two fatalities have been confirmed, and multiple others remain missing after the fire and explosion struck the facility, CNN reported.
In a post on the social media platform X, Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro said that he was en route to the scene of the explosion to receive a briefing and meet with first responders and law enforcement.
