Sofia science festival opens with global talent, spotlights China's space exploration
SOFIA, May 8 (Xinhua) -- The 15th Sofia Science Festival opened Thursday at Sofia Tech Park, bringing together 100 scientists and innovators from Bulgaria, China, and several other countries.
The four-day event features lectures, presentations, and over 40 interactive booths covering topics like quantum tech, climate change, and artificial intelligence, aimed at all age groups.
A key highlight will be Saturday's presentation, "From Myth to Reality: China's 20-Year Wonderful Journey into Deep Space Exploration." China is also showcasing its Deep Space Exploration Laboratory at a dedicated booth throughout the festival.
Among the first visitors to the Chinese booth were 14-year-old students from Vratsa. "I liked the equipment on display, and the Moon too," said Militsa Krasteva. Her classmate Melek Mehmedova added, "It's quite interesting because it's related to the Moon."
The festival runs through Sunday.
