Chinese vice premier meets Rwandan president

BEIJING, Sept. 3 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang on Tuesday met with Rwandan President Paul Kagame, who is in Beijing for the 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC).
Ding, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, said China and Rwanda are good partners and good brothers with a shared vision.
China will work with Rwanda to strengthen the alignment of development strategies, deepen cooperation in infrastructure, agriculture, education, science and technology, and elevate bilateral relations to a new level, he said.
Kagame highlighted the close partnership between the two countries, saying Rwanda is willing to enhance its traditional friendship with China and promote mutually beneficial cooperation for the well-being of the two peoples.
