Peace, stability should be cherished more: premier
TIANJIN, June 27 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Premier Li Qiang said Tuesday that peace and stability should be cherished more in the wake of experiencing anxiety caused by conflicts and instability.
Li made the remarks when addressing the opening of the 14th Annual Meeting of the New Champions, also known as the Summer Davos, in north China's Tianjin Municipality.
Li said that various kinds of containment, repression, and even local wars and regional conflicts in recent years have not only brought huge disasters to people in relevant regions but also caused great damage to world development.
He urged solid efforts to firmly uphold fairness and justice, work hard to solve the security dilemma, and jointly safeguard a peaceful and stable development environment.
