BEIJING, Oct. 15 (Xinhua) -- The China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) has become a well-received international public good and an important platform for building a community with a shared future for mankind, the spokesperson for the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) said Saturday.
Over the past nine years, China has signed BRI cooperation documents with over 140 countries and more than 30 international organizations, Sun Yeli, spokesperson for the congress, told a press conference.
By June, China's goods trade with countries along the Belt and Road had reached around 12 trillion U.S. dollars. A large number of practical cooperation projects have been delivered, contributing to local development and livelihood improvement, according to him.
Looking forward, China will strive for higher cooperation standards, better deliverables from inputs, higher supply quality and stronger development resilience in a bid to advance the high-quality development of the BRI cooperation, Sun said.
