The 3rd International Youth Forum: Creativity and Heritage Along the Silk Roads opened at the Macrolink Tongguan Kiln Cultural Park of Changsha on the evening of March 31.
Representatives from 13 member cities of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network, including Enghien-les-Bains in France, York in the UK, and Tel Aviv in Israel; and 124 youth representatives from 85 countries along the “Belt and Road”, attended the opening ceremony. Cai Zhenhong, CPC Hunan Provincial Standing Committee member and Publicity Department director; Hu Henghua, CPC Hunan Provincial Standing Committee member and CPC Changsha Municipal Committee secretary; Marielza Oliveira, representative of UNESCO Beijing Office; and the UN SDG Young Leader, also attended.
The forum includes 7 key activities, namely, the opening ceremony, the “Unique Changsha” Media Arts Show, the International Youth Forum, Caribbean Film Exhibition, the Chinese and foreign youth gathering, the “Experience Changsha Media Arts Program”, and the Changsha field visits. These activities will display Changsha’s unique charm and its latest achievements in the cultural and creative industry, build a bridge for cultural exchanges and mutual learning, and expand Changsha’s international influence.
