According to the recently released 10th group of the Hunan Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Units list, there are 269 new provincial cultural relic protection units in Hunan, 27 of which are located in Changsha.
The new units in Changsha include:
-1 ancient site, namely, Waixing Kiln;
-1 ancient tomb, namely, Jiwang Tomb;
-3 historic buildings, namely, Dahu Kong’s Family Temple, Taoshuwan Liu’s House, and Liudongtang (a 6-building complex);
-1 cave temple and stone inscription, namely Xibiquan Stone Inscription; and,
-21 representative modern historical buildings, such as Jiangkou Chen’s Ancestral Temple, the former site of Red Army 16 Arsenal-Li’s Family Temple, Chaozongjie Church, and the former site of Tsinghua Changsha Temporary University.
Recently, the CPC Changsha Municipal Committee and the Changsha Municipal People’s Government have attached great importance to cultural heritage protection. A large number of key cultural heritages have been properly and effectively protected, providing strong support for Changsha’s economic and social development. So far, Changsha has 25 national key cultural relics protection units, 120 provincial ones, 201 municipal ones, and 148 county-level ones.
