Five new international passenger and freight flights will be opened in Changsha this year, according to the local logistics and port office.
According to reports, the city has opened a passenger flight to Africa and four freight flights to Europe, North America, and Southeast Asia.
This will create a multimodal transportation network consisting of the China Railway Express, Xianing water transport, flying, and trucking.
In recent years, Changsha's trade value has increased steadily due to the Central China development strategy and port construction.
In 2018, eight international passenger and freight flights to Dacca, North America (Chicago, Halifax) and Manila were established. A meat import checkpoint began operating and designated drug import ports passed inspection as well, providing strong logistical support for Changsha's opening economy.
