Changsha’s first direct flight to Mandalay of Myanmar was launched on January 19, 2019. It is operated by the 9 Air, a subsidiary of Juneyao Airlines, with Boeing 737-800 aircrafts.
The first flight took off from the Changsha Huanghua International Airport at 23:00 that night, and arrived at the Mandalay International Airport at 00:35 local time the next day.
This is 9 Air’s Changsha-based first international route, after it began business at the Changsha Huanghua International Airport in March 2017. Another low-cost route from Changsha to Wenzhou will be opened on January 26.
The Changsha-Mandalay flights will be operated every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, taking off from Changsha at 23:00 and arriving at Mandalay on 00:35. Three flights will return from Mandalay to Changsha on every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday, flying from 01:35 to 05:55.
