On January 14, at 15:00, an ‘NBA Cares’ activity was launched in Changsha. Jason Terry, nicknamed “the Jet”, an American professional basketball player who helped the Dallas Mavericks win the championship during the 2010-2011 season, spent a happy afternoon at the Meixihu NBA Hoop Park in Yuelu District with more than 200 students from the Mayuanwan Primary School in Yuhua District.
NBA Cares is an NBA’s public welfare program that focuses on and supports the growth and education of teenagers through holding activities like going into communities and schools. Terry donated a batch of basketball sports equipment to the Mayuanwan Primary School on behalf of NBA Cares, and gave a basketball class to 200 children.
