

Recently, the “China Cities Xiaokang Forum” (Xiaokang: a moderately prosperous society) was held in Beijing. It was sponsored by the China Information Industry Association, and undertaken by the Credit Professional Committee, and the Competitiveness Think Tank. The "2018 China's Top 100 Prefecture-level Cities in Overall Xiaokang Index (including sub-provincial cities)" was released at the forum. Changsha ranked 10th on the list.

The "2018 Monitoring Report on China Cities in the Building of A Moderately Prosperous Society in All Respects" was also published. It has monitored 657 cities in 31 provinces (autonomous regions, and municipalities) (excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) in the building of a moderately prosperous society in all respects. It took 100 as the expected point for the Overall Xiaokang Index. A total of 175 cities were above the point, 41 more than last year. Among them, there were 85 prefecture-level cities, 19 more than last year; and 90 county-level cities, 22 more than last year.
