On November 5th, the first China International Import Expo (short for CIIE), the world’s first import-themed national-level expo, opened in Shanghai.

According to the Provincial Department of Commerce, during the CIIE, Hunan has organized more than 2,700 units and 5,000 people to register. The key circulation enterprises of import and export business such as Better Life, Friendship & Apollo, DOLTON, Gao Qiao Grand Market and Furong Xingsheng, have signed up for participation and procurement.

The focus of enterprise procurement of Hunan province is mainly in six major areas involving consumer electronics and home appliances; clothing & accessories and consumer goods; food and agricultural products; medical equipment, and medicine and health care; intelligence and high-end equipment; and services. For example, Guangzhou Automobile Fiat Chrysler Automobile Co., Ltd. plans to purchase relevant auto parts. Better Life Commercial Chain Share Co., Ltd. plans to purchase food and agricultural products. Hunan Friendship & Apollo Cloud Commerce Network Commercial Co., Ltd. plans to purchase medical care, and mom & baby products.

In order to promote the conclusion of business, Hunan province actively adjusts and improves the existing import supportive policy and encourages buyers to import relevant products through CIIE. Meanwhile, the information of overseas exhibitors of CIIE has been timely collected and organized before it was delivered to the buyers. The information of some key exhibitors has been completely translated and supplemented. Buyers from Hunan have been guided to actively establish contact with exhibitors.
