Asia-Pacific 2018 Low Carbon Technology Forum to Open in Changsha

The 2018 Asia-Pacific Low Carbon Technology Forum will be held in Changsha Broad City from October 24 to 26. It is co-sponsored by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Hunan Provincial Development and Reform Commission and the Hunan Environmental Protection Department. It is organized by the ADB Climate Technology Finance Center, the Hunan Lianchuang Low-carbon Economy Development Center and Broad Technology Group.

The Forum includes an opening ceremony, a main forum, a parallel sub-forum a technical exhibition, a business matching meeting, and a closing ceremony. There are many guests, including:

1.Leaders of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the Ministry of Finance and other departments;

2.Experts from government think tanks and academic institutions;

3.Representatives from large enterprises;

4.Relevant subordinate agencies of the United Nations;

5.ADB delegates;

6. Research institutions and enterprises representatives from developed areas such as the United States and Europe and developing countries in the Asia-Pacific region. There are 71 foreign guests from 21 countries have confirmed their participation.

The forum will announce three achievements:

1.Hunan and ADB will publish the Handbook of 20 Low Carbon Technologies;

2.Selecting 2018 Asian Clean Energy Innovators;

3.Implementing 35 intent cooperation projects of the Forum in 2017.

The forum will promote a number of new cooperation projects with financial institutions, industrial parks, technical institutions and enterprises.
