Located in the heart of Pu'er City, the Simao Old Street is more of a history and culture than a street. It has retained great many historical buildings of the late Qing Dynasty and the period of the Republic of China, and the layout of the streets are kept unchanged. It is the icon of Pu'er folk houses and ethnic characteristics, as well as the place with the most concentrated historical buildings and cultural heritage.
