According to the announcement by the Changsha South Railway Station, Hunan’s 18 high-speed railway stations are expected to see 12.2 million passenger trips in this year's "summer transport", which began on July 1 and is due to end on August 31.
The figure is 6.2 percent higher than the same period of previous year.
Changsha South Railway Station will see 6.55 million passenger trips during this period, an increase of 7.4% year on year.
Starting from July 1, China's railway network adopts a new set of train schedules. From then on, Huaihua South Railway Station will open a direct high-speed train to Zhuhai for the first time.
