Yuelu Mountain Scenic Area is located in Yuelu District, Changsha City, Hunan Province, 300.8 meters above sea level, covers an area of 35.20 square kilometers, is the last peak of the 72 peaks of the Hengshan Mountain, situated in the scenic area of Orange Island, being a urban-styled mountainous scenic area, and one of the best four places for enjoying the maple scene in China.
Yuelu Mountain has integrated Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism into one, containing the essence of ancient Chinese culture, and embodying the Yuelu Mountain cultural connotations jointly developed by great thinkers in history, eminent monks, and famous literary figures. The scenic area has several scenic spots, such as Yuelu Academy, Aiwan Pavilion, Lushan Temple, etc. In January 2012, Yuelu Mountain Scenic Area was announced as a national AAAAA tourist attraction by the National Tourism Administration.
