Jinggang Ancient Town is a famous historic and cultural town in Hunan Province. In December 2011, it was awarded as a national 4A-level tourist attraction by the National Tourism Administration. Jinggang Ancient Town is located in the northwest of Wangcheng District, Changsha City, Hunan Province, adjacent to the Xiangjiang River in the east, and facing Tongguan Town across the river. Jinggang used to be a prosperous commercial port for material distribution in the province, reputed as "Little Hankou". The significance of Jinggang ancient town originates from her long history. Jinggang has a history of one thousand years or more. The name of the town came from commemoration of General Li Jing of the Tang Dynasty.
