Pu’er now has 811 representative inheritors of intangible cultural heritage, accounting for 20.8% of the total number in Yunnan, 14.5% higher than the provincial average. 600 items are included in the protection list of intangible cultural heritage, accounting for 7% of the total number in Yunnan, about 1% higher than the provincial average. Pu’er now has 37 national-level traditional villages, 3 famous historical and cultural towns, 11 national key cultural relics protection units (7 items), and 13 provincial-level cultural relics protection units. In addition, Pu’er has 7,755 pieces and 44,958 sets of collectible cultural relics.
