Recently, Xi’an Intellectual Property Rights “Thirteenth Five-Year Plan” has been printed and published, which will clearly enable intellectual property rights to become a powerful driving force of the transformation and upgrading of economic development, as well as quality improvement and efficiency increase. By 2020, the number of patent applications will have been expected to reach more than 100,000; the owning amount of patents of inventions by tens of thousands of people will have been expected to reach 35; the owning amount of well-known Chinese trademarks will have been expected to reach 70.

According to the Plan, by 2020, Xi’an will have been expected to cultivate 100 national and provincial leveled enterprises with the advantage of intellectual property rights.
