The capra ibex, a species of wild goat under the state's first-grade protection, was captured by photography lovers in the mountains just a few hundred kilometers away from Fuyun County, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region on Dec. 15.
The number of wild animals in Fuyun is increasing as the area's ecology improves, thanks in part to intensified publicity about wildlife conservation. Capra ibex are wild goats that live in mountainous regions at altitudes as high as 6,000 meters.
