A set of baby barn owl twins was found in an orchard in Guilin, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on Dec. 13. The owls were spotted in the orchard with no nearby nest visible. The orchard owner took the owls home and contacted police. According to the county forestry authorities, barn owls are protected birds in China. Since the pair was too young to be set free, they will be kept temporarily at a wildlife protection center in Guilin. (Photo/People's Daily Online)
