Yang Caigang smiles after the artificial cochlea is returned.
A citizen surnamed Jiang delivered the lost artificial cochlea to Yang Caigang, the adopted father of little Ye Yaxin, on the morning of Nov. 21 in Guilin, Guangxi province. With Ye's happy cry, the two-day search finally came to a successful conclusion.
Yaxin puts on the artificial cochlea again.
In August, Yang raised money to buy Ye a pair of artificial cochlea worth 160,000 RMB, which would allow her to hear despite her congenital hearing impairment. They recently lost the pair on their way home from Ye's speech therapy. Fortunately, with the help of many kind-hearted Guilin citizens, a train station employee ultimately found the cochlea and returned them to Yang. Now Ye can once again hear voices and sounds during her days at kindergarten.
With the artificial cochlea, Yaxin can hear again.
