
A total of 223 soldiers from China and the U.S. participated in a three-day drill in China, beginning Nov. 16. The drill was intended to practice humanitarian disaster relief. The People's Liberation Army (PLA) sent 134 soldiers, along with medical aid, rescue equipment and helicopters. The drill simulated an earthquake in a country located on a plateau.
