The imperial musket made for Qianlong Emperor of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) was sold for £1,985,000 ($2,461,000) at a Sotheby's auction in London on Nov. 9. The first Chinese imperial firearm to be auctioned, the musket was ultimately sold to a private Asian collector.
