China Coast Guard beefs up training for maritime interests

Soldiers with the China Coast Guard (CCG) Jiangsu flotilla work on strength training on Nov. 2 in eastern China's Jiangsu province. Due to a sudden and dramatic drop in temperature, the soldiers remained active to keep warm throughout the training, which involved weapons practice and close combat drills. The training aimed to help soldiers better adapt to actual combat situations, as CCG shoulders responsibility for a rapidly developing maritime economy.
