Illegal bird-hunting net deemed eyesore on beautiful river bank

The corpses of dozens of wild birds were spotted in a wide net stretching across a river in the northern city of Hulunbuir. Hooks were also spotted nearby, having pierced and killed ducks floating on the water's surface. The net has since been removed by locals. [Photo/People.cn]
