Ethiopia and Djibouti on Wednesday launched Africa's first modern electrified railway connecting their capitals. The 752.7-km Ethiopia-Djibouti railway, also known as Addis Ababa-Djibouti railway, has a designed hourly speed of 120 kilometers.
