Los Angeles Lakers officially signed a contract with Chinese basketball player Yi Jianlian on August 23.
But contract details have not yet been revealed.
ESPN reported last week that the Lakers tried to bring Yi back to NBA by signing a contract for 8 million US dollars annually, while other sources say the contract is a mere 1.14 million.
28-year-old Yi Jianlian last played in the NBA in 2012, when he appeared in 30 games and averaged 6.8 minutes per appearance for the Dallas Mavericks.
Back in China, he signed for a team in south China's Guangdong.
He traveled to Rio as part of China's Olympic team, averaging 20.4 points per game.
