China has been awarded one gold medal and a number of silver medals at the closing ceremonies at this year's International Military Games in Russia.
Huang Qingli, commander with the Chinese team, says taking part in this year's event has been a rewarding experience.
"We really learn a lot from this competition when it comes to determination and competitive training, which will be helpful for us to improve our fighting effectiveness in the future."
Russian Major General Dmitry Gorbatenko acted as the Games' chief referee this year.
"I think the Chinese team is fantastic with strong capabilities. They have displayed resolve and decision-making ability in different events, and they are one of the best."
The International Military Games in Russia saw 19 different countries take part in various military-based events, which saw teams take part in Olympic-style military drills.
