At this year’s Qingdao Beer Festival, which opened on July 29, an unusual new world record was set--and it had nothing to do with beer. Instead, attendees at this year’s festival were treated to an unconventional dance performance put on by 1,040 robots. The robots had to dance for one full minute in order to set the record for most robots dancing simultaneously. In the end, a handful of the robots either fell over or failed to start dancing, but a record was still set by 1,007 dancing robots.

The robots were provided by Ever Win Company, Ltd. The previous record for most robots dancing simultaneously was 540, a feat organized by UBTECH Robotics Corp.
