A farmer from central China’s Henan province has assembled a giant, windmill-shaped field of flowers. The two-acre plot of land is divided into 24 equal parts. It employs a radial layout, with corresponding seasonal flowers for each of the 24 solar terms in each section. People can simply look at the flowers to determine the current season.
The 24 solar terms are a unique part of China's cultural heritage, formed through the many centuries of China’s agricultural history. Synchronized with the seasons, they are crucial for agrarian activities.
