An 89-year-old man from eastern China's Jiangsu province has drawn more than 60 national flags on cardboard in order to distinguish the nationalities of various athletes during the 2016 Rio Olympics, Yangtze Evening News reported. The man, surnamed Wu, plans to draw a total of 108 flags.
With athletes from 207 countries and regions attending the Olympics, it can be difficult for people--especially the elderly--to recognize all of them. For that reason, Wu, an art enthusiast, began his hand-drawn project.
Wu said that the name of each country is written on the back of its corresponding flag. He can simply turn the flag over to check if he can't recognize the nationality of an athlete.
