One year after Beijing won the bid to host the 2022 Winter Olympics, the city has launched a worldwide campaign seeking logo designs for both the 2022 Winter Games and the Paralympic Games.
According to the organizers, any designer, regardless of nationality, gender, profession or age, is eligible to submit an application from now until December 30. A strict procedure will be adopted to select the winning logo.
At an event held to celebrate the first anniversary of its successful bid, the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic organizing committee also unveiled its official website (www.beijing2022.cn). Information about the games will be published in Chinese, English and French.
Beijing will be home to the ice events, while the city of Zhangjiakou in Hebei, approximately 200 kilometers northwest of Beijing, will host the alpine events.
