The free-spirited traveller said: 'Practising yoga in the Amazon jungle in Peru has been easiest. 'I was living without electricity for a month and got to spend a lot of time with myself. I was disconnecting to truly connect.' She is pictured doing the splits at Machu Picchu, Peru.

'Other places I have really enjoyed doing yoga was in Santa Teresa in Costa Rica and on the island of Kauai, because I was surrounded by a lot of open-minded and very kind people.'

Greta revealed she enjoyed doing yoga in Santa Teresa in Costa Rica and on the island of Kauai (pictured) because she was surrounded by a lot of open-minded and very kind people.

However, Greta admitted it was not love at first pose.

She added: 'Like many other people, my first class wasn't fun at all.

'Back then I was a very stiff tennis player with a very competitive mind-set.

'Being inflexible was hard. I was suffering and could not understand why people went to yoga.

It wasn't love at first pose, Greta admitted that she had to lose her competitive sports mindset to truly embrace the practice.

Greta extols the benefits of yoga in every day life, particularly keeping calm when travelling as it comes with many daily stresses. She is pictured here in Utah.

'With time I realised that it was more about getting flexible in my head and heart instead of just my body.

'I began to understand the beauty of yoga-therapy and that nothing is impossible with patience, practice, and mindfulness.

'Believe it or not, but it's when I am off the mat when I practice yoga the most.

'To stay calm when I'm about to miss a flight, to share a hug with a stranger, or not looking at my phone the first hour of my day.'
