(People's Daily Online)    08:57, May 06, 2016

On April 19, 2016, on Mount Wuliang within the boundaries of Jingdong County, Pu'er City, Yunnan, a stream was seen falling from the top of the mountain, forming a lake where the water landed.

Over 500 black crested gibbons live in the Mount Wuliang National Nature Reserve. The black crested gibbon is a Class I species protected at national level and exists even in smaller numbers than the giant panda. In fact, there are only a slightly over 1,500 black crested gibbons in the world. Mount Wuliang and Mount Ailao, both of which are situated in Yunnan, are two places where the species exists in relatively large numbers.
