Lulu lost her mother several years ago in 2012. On June 12, 2012, after her mother had passed away, Lulu opened a Weibo account that she uses specially to write to her mother. So far she has written 1,224 entries. Many netizens follow her Weibo account, and some leave comments about how touching they find it.

When Lulu’s mother was alive, Lulu called her mother on the phone every day, no matter how busy she was. Lulu was devastated when her mother passed away, so she started to write on Weibo as a way of dealing with her grief.

“Mom, today is the tenth day since you left us. This is probably the longest time I’ve gone without seeing you in all my 30 years of my life. Mom, I will still reach out and tell you about my day as usual, but now I’ll do it on Weibo.”

This is the first post that Lulu wrote. Everything she writes on Weibo is written in a casual tone, as though she really was chatting with her mother. Sometimes she writes three to four posts a day to tell her mother what is happening in her life.

Lulu’s Weibo account now has 24,178 followers, and Lulu herself has become quite famous because of the posts. Many media outlets have invited her to do interviews, but she has turned them all down. Instead of gathering publicity, Lulu just wants to do something nice to honor her mother. One thing that makes Lulu very happy about the publicity, however, is that many of her followers have started to express more interest in and care for their parents after reading her Weibo.
