Pu'er Sun River National Park is a major scenic spot developed in 2011 as a result of Pu'er municipal government's introduction of Yunnan Mekong Group Co., Ltd. The park was brought into use in October 2013, and succeeded in acquiring the status of National 4A Scenic Spot in February 2016. At present, the park has begun to produce significant economic, ecological, and social benefits, thereby making great contributions to improve the popularity and influence of Pu'er tourism industry.
