The mossy lava fields captured in the photos are in Iceland, where the ethereal scene was created after the island’s natural vegetation took hold following a volcanic eruption. The Skaft reldahraun lava field is in the South East part of Iceland and features mounds which rise and fall around 80ft stretching for miles. Photographer Dylan Shaw captured these pictures of fellow students Carrie Power and Kim Barnes both climbing the mounds.
