A man in northwestern China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region is devoting all his energy to constructing a plane, chinanews.com reported.
The 35-year-old man, named Tongbayier, has had the dream since childhood to build a plane. He started to learn woodworking after graduating from high school, and gradually became a skilled carpenter. The doors, windows and furniture in his house, along with his morin khuur (a traditional Mongolian instrument), were all made by him.
In 2015, he decided to make a plane to realize his childhood dream. He searched for information on the Internet and prepared the necessary materials. Now the frame of his plane has been completed. The only part unfinished is the wings, for which Tongbayier is still selecting the proper material. The plane will fly by the end of this year if everything goes smoothly.
The young man said that sooner or later his plane will be able to fly. He's very confident about it, saying: "Even if I fail this time, I will make another plane and succeed in the end."
