NEW YORK, March 22 -- Denish teenager Mohamad Al-Bacha won a thrilling two-leg final against England's Sean Allen to pocket the 2016 FIFA Interactive World Cup (FIWC) championship here on Tuesday.

Al-Bacha, 17, who played only his first FIWC Grand Final, drew 2-2 with Allen on PlayStation 4 in the first leg, and then drew again 3-3 on Xbox One. As a PlayStation 4 player, Al-Bacha won the tournament with goal differences, like the format of home-and-away system of actual football game.

This was the first time the FIWC was played on two consoles. The winners of each console played one game on PlayStation 4 and one game on Xbox One to decide the ultimate champion.

Allen, winner of the Xbox groups, chose to play PlayStation first, but managed to come back twice to force out a 2-2 draw with his Brazil.

It seemed a good start for the Englishman as Al-Bacha, who played France, admitted before the second leg that he was not good at Xbox.

However, it was Al-Bacha again who took the lead first. Down by 1-0, Allen showed his attacking power to score three goals in row in the second half to lead 3-1.

Al-Bacha used the last 20 minutes to score two incredible goals to level it up and was crowned for the first time.

"With two minutes left, I know, in football, time is time. Even if it's one minute, it doesn't matter, so I scored," Al-Bacha said after the game.

"To win the competition is beyond words for me. For the last few months I have really worked on my performance and was totally committed to playing the best I could here in New York," he added.

The 2016 edition of the FIWC, the world's largest online gaming tournament, attracted 2.3 million competitors.
