BRUSSELS, March 22 -- Belgium raised its terror threat to the highest level following explosions at Brussels airport on Tuesday morning, a spokesperson with Interior Minister Jan Jambon said.
The decision to raise the alert level from three to a maximum of four was announced shortly after the blasts at Brussels airport, which reportedly killed at least one person and wounded several others, the Belga news agency reported.
Meanwhile, another explosion was also reported at Maelbeek metro station which is near the European Union headquarters, a Xinhua witness said.
