The astonishing moment shows a pride of lions preyed on a buffalo just meters from cars full of stunned tourists in the Kruger National Park, South Africa. The buffalo was crossing the road when a lion suddenly pounced at its back, and killed by three other lions in a chase right in front of tourists’ cars.

Field guide Marten Lange captured the moment and told his guests not to move and everything would be OK.

“I have seen a couple of kills by leopard, lion, cheetah, wild dog and hyena. But nothing previously seen could compare with this experience, because it was so in your face. My guests were absolutely blown away,” Lange said.
