Photos taken on March 4, 2016 show a total of 1,600 pandas sculptures being exhibited at Sanam Luang in Bangkok, capital of Thailand.

Designed by French artist Paulo Grangeon and made out of recycled paper, the panda flash mobs are in different postures and expressions, attracting many onlookers. The “1,600 pandas” exhibition is part of a world tour to raise public awareness of wildlife preservation and environmental protection.

It was first launched in France in 2008 and has since been staged in over 20 countries. The “1,600” represents the number of pandas remaining in the wild at that time in 2008.
