The signals of China's new BeiDou Navigation Satellite have been successfully received and decoded on Earth. Now, the satellite is entering a load test stage.
This marks a big step forward for the Beidou Navigation Satellite System. The satellite was launched in early February. It's the fifth of the Beidou System's current and second generation satellites, and also the 21st in the Beidou System as a whole.
The current generation aims to help the system's coverage go global from regional by 2020.
