A 25-year-old man from Hohhot city, China's northern Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, has a hobby inconceivable to many people: washing other people’s clothes. He sometimes washes over 100 pieces per day.
The man, with an assumed name of Yang Yang, spends most of his time finding clothes to wash, China News reported on Thursday.
According to Yang, it gives him a sense of fulfillment since it is quite enjoyable for him to do laundry.
He has been obsessed with hand washing clothes for over two years. Despite many skeptical voices, Yang insists that his unique pastime is a hobby rather than a disease or compulsion.
"Just like some people enjoy painting or dancing, I enjoy washing clothes," explained Yang.
However, he only helps strangers so that his parents and other loved ones do not find out about his hobby.
