KATHMANDU, Feb. 26 -- Two people were killed when an aircraft carrying nine passengers and two crew members crash landed in Kalikot district in mid-western Nepal on Friday noon, according to local media reports.
Two crew members on board the plane, including the pilot, died in the incident, state-run National News Agency said, adding the identity of the victims is yet to be ascertained.
The Air Kasthamandap aircraft was heading to the remote Jumla district from Nepalgunj. It had taken off from the Nepalgunj airport at 12:20 local time.
A joint team of Nepal Police and Nepal Army are on the way to the site of the incident for rescue operations. Air Kasthamandap has also sent a private helicopter to the site.
Earlier on Wednesday, an aircraft of Tara Airlines crashed in Myagdi district, killing all 23 people on board including three crew members.
