Chinese ambassador to Belgium Qu Xing (3rd, R) lays wreath to the Chinese labour died during the World War I at the Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery in Poperinge, Belgium, on Jan. 12, 2016. Among 140,000 Chinese labour sent to Europe during World War I for war service work, about 20,000 died and remained missing due to war violence, laborious work and being infected with epidemic diseases.
