HANOI, Dec. 31 -- A book commemorating the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Vietnam (1950-2015) was published in Vietnam's capital on Thursday.
The book was collectively published by the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam and the Vietnam-China Friendship Association.
The book comprises photos of important moments in bilateral relations in the fields of politics, economy, culture and people-to-people exchanges, as well as articles recalling touching moments in bilateral ties, and memories of the book's writers during their studying and working time in Vietnam and China, among others.
Addressing the launching ceremony, Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Hong Xiaoyong said the book reflects the "comrade and brother" ties and the long traditional friendship between China and Vietnam.
It also carries the coordination of both sides in revolutionary struggle and socialist construction. It is expected that through the book, more people, especially the young generation, will learn about the development of China-Vietnam bilateral ties, Hong said.
Nguyen Xuan Thang, president of the Vietnam-China Friendship Association, for his part, said the traditional friendship between Vietnam and China is a precious treasure of the two nations.
Through the book, readers of the two countries can learn useful knowledge, thus raising their responsibilities in promoting and strengthening the Vietnam-China friendship relations, which were built and nurtured by late Vietnamese President Ho Chi Minh and late Chinese leader Mao Zedong, Thang said.
