Ngari, a prefecture in southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region, witnessed ice and snow as the temperature reached 18 degrees Celsius below zero.

Braving the severe cold wind in the oxygen-deficient environment, soldiers of a regiment of Ngari Military Region performed the border patrol.
