Powder on the face, mascara on the eyes and pink rabbit ears tied on the head. This is a complete makeup application process. But it is carried out by a boy, who is a junior student in Sichuan Agricultural University. He is Li Minghua, a merchant in We Chat Circle.
Li's mother died when he was only ten years old and his father raised him by farming. He has been studying international economics and trade at Sichuan Agricultural University since 2013. The first year, he paid his tuition fee through student loans and his living costs through support from the local government. When he was a freshman, he started to do part-time jobs. In his second year of university, he began selling cosmetics and sanitary napkins, raising attention by applying his own makeup.
"The merchants in We Chat should use their products themselves. I was afraid that other students would laugh at me so I hid behind a mosquito net and applied masks. But they still found it and made me feel embarrassed. After three days' experience, I made up my mind to sell masks in my We Chat Circle. Sometimes I tested out new products in the toilet and took photos of myself with makeup. Since last year, I have earned 100,000 yuan, which is enough to feed myself. I know I still have many things to learn if I want to open a shop in my university. But now I have confidence in myself," said Li.
